1.)  What is Women’s FitCamp?

It’s an effective, efficient, and FUN women’s only workout.  No yelling or screaming…ever!  All workouts are conducted in an encouraging, supportive environment.  Each exercise is performed for time, so you don’t have to worry about keeping up with the group, falling behind, or getting too far ahead!  You go at a pace that feels comfortable for you.


2.)  Where are Women’s FitCamp Classes located?

Classes are offered at the Ocean Air Rec Center in Carmel Valley.


3.) When are Women’s FitCamp classes offered?

Women’s FitCamp offers 45-minute express workouts for busy women that run Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 6am.


4.)  What do the classes consist of?

Workouts are intense, however they are designed to accommodate women of all fitness levels.  Fit Camp workouts are designed to get you maximum results in the least amount of time.  Each class will be different, and will consist of strength training, and aerobic exercises designed to tighten, strengthen, and tone your entire body, and to boost your metabolism.  You’ll be lunging, squatting, jumping, lunging, doing push-ups, and various other exercises for your chest, back, arms, shoulders, abs, core, legs, and butt.


5.) How long are FitCamp Classes?

Classes are 45 minutes from start to finish.  This includes warm-up, workout, and post exercise cool-down and stretching.


6.) How much does the Women’s FitCamp program cost?

APF Women’s FitCamps is a monthly membership program. Campers are required to commit to either a 3 or 6 month billing agreement at a membership level that best caters to their specific budget, schedule and goals. Please refer to the APF Women’s FitCamp Page to see our programs and rates.


7.) What do I bring to class?

All equipment will be provided, but each camper is expected to bring the follow items to each workout:

- A water bottle or workout drink

- A wipe down towel

- Your own exercise or yoga mat

- A great attitude!


8.) What do I wear to class?

You should wear comfortable, breathable clothing, appropriate for exercise.


9.) How does nutrition factor into the program?

Our goal is not to overwhelm, but rather to ease you into adopting healthier dietary habits for long-term success. All Women’s FitCamp members will receive a complimentary nutrition guide and sample meal planner that will provide basic introductory nutrition guidelines to get the ball rolling in the right direction.


10.) What is the different between private, semi-private, and Women’s FitCamp training?

Our Private and Semi-Private Training services provide:

-  Individualized, detailed program design based on your movement screening and your specific fitness goals.

-  Fitness Assessments that include:

  • Movement Screening
  • Body Circumference Measurements
  • Skin Fold Body Fat% Testing
  • Weight Measurements
  • Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) Calculations.

- Fitness Assessment Retests that are conducted FREE every 6 weeks to chart client progress.

- Personalized nutrition guide, sample meal plans, and accountability journal.

-  45-minute workouts that cater to those looking for flexible scheduling, progress tracking, and state of the art custom program design.

-  GREATER attention, support, motivation, and accountability in pursuit of your goals.

-  More intimate workouts for those preferring a more private environment, that accommodate up to 3 clients per session with a sliding payment scale that makes the cost of each session more affordable as the session fills up (see private, semi-private, and 3 person group training pages for more details).

-  Finally, private and semi-private training clients have access to more unique training tools and exercise options that are not logistically possible in the large group format of Women’s FitCamp workouts.
